It's quite possible that if they lost power, that they were somehwere else where they could access the internet.

Actually, it's in the 40's today and it's supposed to be almost 60 by this weekend.

You are not alone up there. The brutal cold you are having is ruining our usually mild weather here too. In fact, I have not been to the beach in 4 weeks. That sux. I did catch some rays in my back yard Saturday. It was only in the low 60s but no clouds and the wind was broken by my residence. It was nice enough, but I fell asleep and when the sun dipped below the orange tree around 3:00 and the shadow fell across me I woke up damn COLD. LOL, I went in and took a very hot shower... It was around 40* this morning, and here that feels like 10*...
